This privacy policy explains how PByte handles information in BulbMap.

Information BulbMap Stores

BulbMap is an offline gardening notebook. Garden beds, bulb records, cultivars, quantities, planting and storage details, notes, reminders, settings, deleted-item recovery state, and attached photos are stored on your device in the app container.

Information We Collect

PByte does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information from BulbMap. BulbMap has no account, backend, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking SDK, CloudKit sync, weather service, or runtime AI feature.

Photos and Camera

If you choose to add photos, BulbMap can import images from your photo library or capture new photos with the camera. Photos are compressed, re-encoded, and stored locally by the app. This re-encoding strips embedded metadata such as GPS and EXIF data before the image is stored or included in a BulbMap archive.

Reminders and Notifications

BulbMap can schedule optional local reminders for planting, lifting, checking, and storage tasks. These notifications are created on your device after you grant permission. BulbMap does not use remote push notifications.

Exports, Imports, and Backups

CSV, PDF, and .bulbmap archive exports happen only when you start them. If you share or save an export through iOS, the destination you choose may receive a copy of that file. iOS may also include BulbMap data in device or iCloud backups depending on your Apple settings. BulbMap does not operate its own cloud backup service.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

BulbMap does not use third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking technologies.

Children's Privacy

BulbMap is a general gardening utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when BulbMap changes. Updates will be posted on this page.
