TripScene Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

TripScene is made by PByte. This policy explains how the iOS app handles route intro projects, photos, videos, purchases, and TestFlight feedback.

Production App Data

TripScene is designed as a local editing tool. In the production App Store app, imported photos, imported videos, draft layouts, generated MP4 files, and export history stay on your device unless you choose to share or save the resulting video through iOS system actions or a selected Instagram or Facebook composer. TripScene marks its persistent project-media directory as excluded from device cloud backup.

TripScene does not continuously track your device, use background location, use advertising identifiers, or sell personal information. Route projects and video composition run locally. To display map backgrounds and calculate driving routes, the app may request map styles or tiles from OpenFreeMap or CARTO and route results from Apple MapKit. Those providers receive standard network information such as an IP address and the geographic area needed to return the requested map or route; TripScene does not send your imported photos, videos, captions, or generated MP4 files with those requests.

Location Search

When you search for a city, area, or landmark, TripScene may send the text you typed to a PByte-controlled Supabase project to return public GeoNames-derived place suggestions. This lookup does not include your precise device location, photos, videos, route drafts, or generated MP4 files. A small bundled city list remains available as an offline fallback.

Current-Location Stops

TripScene requests When In Use location access only after you tap Use Current Location. The app captures one location fix and does not continue tracking you. Before the coordinate becomes a route stop, you must give it a name or select a nearby public place returned by Apple Maps. The selected coordinate stays in your local route project. TripScene sends that coordinate to Apple MapKit only to suggest nearby places and verify adjacent driving routes; it is not sent to PByte's Supabase location-search service. A selected location may be visible in a route video you create or in a TestFlight feedback screenshot you choose to submit.

Sign In With Apple

Sign in with Apple is optional; the local editor remains available without an account. If you choose to sign in, Apple may share your Apple user identifier, name, and email address or private relay email with the app. TripScene stores this identity only on your device in iOS Keychain and does not transmit it to a PByte server, analytics service, or third-party identity provider.

Photos And Videos

If you choose photos or videos, TripScene uses them only to build your route scene and MP4 export. Temporary working copies may be stored in the app container or temporary directory with iOS file protection, and the app removes superseded temporary exports when possible.

Purchases

TripScene Premium is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and provides purchase entitlement information to the app. TripScene does not receive or store your payment card details.

TestFlight Feedback

TestFlight builds may show an optional feedback button for invited testers. If a tester submits feedback, TripScene sends the feedback text, feedback type, device model, OS version, locale, app version, build number, stable install identifier, timestamp, an optional tester name or email entered in the feedback form, and a screenshot of the app screen to a private Supabase project used by PByte for beta testing. Speech feedback uses Apple on-device speech recognition when available; microphone audio is not stored by TripScene. Feedback is retained only as needed to investigate the beta issue and manage its TicketQuest ticket. Testers may request deletion by contacting support@pbyte.bg. This TestFlight feedback tool is not active in production App Store builds.

Data Sharing

TripScene does not share production app projects with PByte or third parties. If you choose Instagram Reels or Facebook Reels, the app temporarily places the rendered video on the iOS pasteboard and opens that platform's composer; the pasteboard item expires after five minutes. TripScene does not receive or store your social-media account or access token. If you use the iOS share sheet, the destination you select controls how that exported video is handled.

Children

TripScene is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through TestFlight feedback, contact us and we will delete it.
